About Your Nassau Professional Fire Fighters !!

The Nassau County Professional Firefighters are the proud men and women you see on the streets every day.  Your firefighters have dedicated their lives to educating themselves to the best of their abilities in order to provide the citizens of Nassau County optimum fire and EMS services.
Nassau’s professional firefighters are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We cover all 652 square miles of Nassau County.   We respond to a wide array of incidents such as cardiac and respiratory emergencies, pediatric emergencies, car accidents, wild fires, hazardous material events, and house fires.  We are proud to serve and protect the 60,000 citizens who call Nassau County Home.
The Nassau County Professional Firefighters currently staff six stations throughout the county.  We staff six fire engines, six ambulances, one tanker truck, and one ladder truck.
The Nassau Professional Firefighters are also the political wing for the firefighters.  We monitor issues that affect the safety of both firefighters and the public.  We make sure that when the budget needs to be trimmed, it does not come at the expense of your safety.
Your Nassau Firefighters are also very active in the community, raising thousands of dollars every year for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
